BrahMos The Supersonic Cruise Missile Tested Successfully In India

BHUBANESWAR: India on Monday Of May 21st, 2018, successfully test-fired the Indo-Russian joint venture BrahMos supersonic cruise missile from a test range along the Odisha coast to validate some new features. The data was affirmed by authorities of the Defense Research and Development Organization. The rocket was test-let go from a versatile launcher positioned at Launch cushion 3 of the Integrated Test Range (ITR) at Chandipur close here at 10.40 am, Defense Research and Development Organization (DRDO) authorities said.

The trial was directed to approve its “life augmentation” advances created without precedent for India by DRDO and group BraHmos, said an authority of the ITR. Barrier Minister Nirmala Sitharaman complimented DRDO researchers and group BrahMos for the effective dispatch of BraHmos rocket with new innovation today.

The successful test will result in huge savings of replacement cost of missiles held in the inventory of the Indian Armed Forces, it said.
